Being an athlete is so much more than what happens on the court or on the field. Behind the wins, the training, and the structure, there’s also grief, identity shifts, and the silent question, what’s next?
When an athlete changes, their family system changes too. That’s why family work is a big part of what I do.
At Embodied Soul Therapy, I provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed therapy that helps athletes and their families navigate grief, life transitions and identity shifts, through mindfulness and other evidence-based practices. I help families strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and help them grow together as they navigate the unique demands of sports and life beyond them.
For me, it’s not about the performance, it’s about creating a space where athletes and their families feel seen, supported, and empowered to step into life beyond the game. Because at the end of the day, you are so much more than an athlete.
